Felicien is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) with more than twenty (20) years’ professional experience in audit and finance covering various sectors. Felicien also holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting sciences from the National University of Rwanda.
He previously served as the Country Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Rwanda. At EY, he headed and participated in audit and other assignments in Rwanda, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and other African countries. Clients included central banks, commercial banks, telecoms, NGOs among others.
He served on the International Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) board for a period of two years from January 2022 to December 2023 and was the first Rwandan to hold such a position at an international standard setting body. He also seats on the Access Bank Rwanda Plc board.
Felicien has extensive experience in corporate governance having served on many boards in Rwanda. His previous board memberships include among others Inyange Industries, Real Contractors, Bourbon Coffee, Ruliba Clays, Mutara Enterprises, Apparel Manufacturing Group (AMG), Akagera Aviation, Nexus Flight Operations Africa, New Century Development (owner of Marriott Kigali Hotel) and Rwanda Gaming Corporation.
Felicien was also the Group CFO of Crystal Ventures Ltd for over nine (9) years where, as part of the executive committee, he helped in the transformation of CVL into one of the leading groups in the country.
